Harry Potter A Choriambic Progression by Mairead Triste & Aristide. Novel-length Snape/Harry, an epic story, but amazingly intricate and intimate and perfectly in character. It is also possibly the most erotic HP story I've ever read. No spoilers, just go. read.

Harry Potter Lightning Has Just Struck My Brain by Mousapelli. Set post OotP, Harry comes to realise something about Neville. A creepy story about the power of memory charms, and deception.

Harry Potter If You're Breathing by Sandy Justine. Neville and Harry and the art of duelling (among other things). A great Neville-focused story with fun self-defence moments.

Harry Potter Inhabited By Winter by Yahtzee. A Remus-centric story which follows some of his operations for the Order (spoilers for OotP) and explores his feelings for and about Sirius. A sadness-tinged story with lots of universe details and interesting character moments.

Harry Potter Ghost by Allecto. Post OotP, Snape and Sirius Black and bitter memories. Sad and reverential.

Harry Potter Anti-Hero Archetype by Mariner. A Snape filk to the tune of 'I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major-General', from The Pirates of Penzance. Funny and true.

Harry Potter Broken Down Angel by Perri Smith. A perfectly bitter and sad post OotP Percy story, looking inside Percy's mind at his motivations and his convictions. Makes Percy wonderfully 3D and much more sympathetic.

Harry Potter Bruises & Fever by Mireille. (No OotP spoilers) Two drabbles: small, but perfectly formed insights into the relationship between Percy Weasley and Oliver Wood. Shiversome imagination fodder.

Harry Potter Gang Aft Agley by Mireille. (No OotP spoilers) All respect to Molly Weasley. A short and pointy fic into what does, and doesn't, make Molly tick. Great speculation about what might have led her to become a mother of seven, and what might have been.

Harry Potter Tired by Mireille. Percy is fast becoming one of my favourite characters. Poor Percy. He's got dreams, and then he's got dreams.

Harry Potter Rats Alley by Fabula Rasa. A long and absorbing Snape/Sirius extravaganza and as good a reason for Snape's appearance as I've found, in a twisted way. I do wonder where Sirius and Snape's animosity went in the first part, but for this story, I don't much care. Funny in places, crudely inventive when it comes to the Ministry, and I really like the characterisation of Sirius. One gripe, however, is the odd, self-indulgent epilogue.

Harry Potter Disparity by Maki. A sweet teaser in which Fred considers the differences between himself and George. Manages to capture their teenage-ness, as well as filling in some interesting character details.

Harry Potter Breaking Tradition by Mortalus. A Voldemort aftermath spoof. 'When one has survived nine generations of Weasleys, one finds that no one without red hair is capable of providing true terror'.

Harry Potter Transfiguration by Resonant. An extremely long and involving, episodic future-fic in which Harry, Hermione, Draco et al. deal with the magical legacy of the war on Hogwarts. A few Americanisms, but spot on characterisation (she gives great Neville) and endlessly imaginative storytelling. She does for Calligromancy what Resmiranda did for Arithmancy. If Calligromancy doesn't become a fanon staple, I'll eat the sorting hat.

Harry Potter The Lodger by Mad Martha. A long and smooth Draco and Harry aftermath story featuring a Ron and a Neville I love. With its drily realistic exploration of bureaucracy and politics and touches of humour and sadness, the story is also wonderfully adult. And, not to put anyone off, I got an odd Hugh Grant, Four Weddings And A Funeral, vibe from it. Maybe it was the morning suits. Thoughtful and hopeful.

Harry Potter Wednesday by Northlight. A very thoughtful and sympathetic exploration of Petunia's character and relationship with her family, living and dead. And an ending that made me want to tear things.

Harry Potter Extracurricular by Ivy Blossom. Harry and Draco absolutely have to shag or the end of the world is nigh. A genuinely funny fanon parody.

Harry Potter Porcelain by Missi. A compact little Harry/Draco story with whammy. Looks at the nature of Harry's dreams and makes ya think.

Harry Potter Scrabble by MartianHousecat. Scrabble was never so much fun. Draco, Millicent, Pansy and Blaise take the game very seriously.

Harry Potter Under Pressure by Kimagure. (Archive down) A touching little Percy piece set after the events of Goblet Of Fire. Sets the record straight, with thoughtful insights into Weasley family life.

Harry Potter The Almost Legend Of Draco Malfoy by Zahra. 'Draco Malfoy never wanted to do great things: they required too much effort'. An alternate history of Draco and his motives that takes a side-swipe at fanon on the way.

Harry Potter Smoke and Mirrors by Downdilly. From the Severus Snape Fuh-Q fest, Snape and Harry 'have to stay tied to each other by magical bonds for a week'. An old saw but a good saw and done with flair. Now if only we could see Snape and Harry on missions...

Harry Potter Peppermint by Polly Burns. 'Harry has a little crush'. Sweet and real and uncertain. A beautiful portrait of Snape through infatuation's gaze.

Harry Potter Bad Faith by Cathryn. (Site is Missing) Not a story this time, but an essay on why Draco Malfoy is not a nice guy and yet not wholly irredeemable and certainly not evil. Thought provoking and well considered.

Harry Potter Slip Of The Tongue by Seeker. Another Snape/Gilderoy story. Why do I like these so much? This one features Snarky!Snape and gets Gilderoy's narcissism dead on. Amusing and kinky, if you're into that sort of thing.

Harry Potter Facing The Music by Erastes. A simple Snape/Harry story about Snape's heart and the meaning of dreams. Features Snape playing the violin. Irresistible.

Harry Potter The Familiar by Resonant. Written around Hilaire Belloc's 'The Frog', this unusual Harry/Snape story is set after the war with Voldemort but avoids cliché. Sweet, quiet and witty.

Harry Potter Green Candle by Caliah. Short but powerful glance at what makes Hermione tick and what she might be capable of doing. A dark and clever twist on canon.

Harry Potter A Brief Interval Before the Resumption Of Play by Audrey T-h. Draco and Harry enjoy some time out of time during an epic Quidditch match. The game is played wittily and the relationship, contrarily, written deep. Punchy.

Harry Potter The Price by Bellmaine Chercoeur. Meep. Snape! Hermione! The final battle! Pain! Tears! Heroics! Melodrama! Try reading while listening to the Last Of The Mohicans soundtrack. I may have cried.

Harry Potter Herbology Lesson by Tess. Professor Sprout is a Hufflepuff. No. Really. She comforts, and she reminisces. Sad and shiny.

Harry Potter Teamwork by Loup Noir. A wholly different look at the dysfunctional Dark Arts department of Durmstrang and their attempt to justify their budget. The Addams Family without the values. Truly horrifying in places and dark in tone, but strangely light hearted.

Harry Potter Lacrimosa by Incitatus. Draco gets some news and deals with the consequences. A dark and memorable Malfoy character study that sings. Raises the bar.

Harry Potter Strange Bedfellows: A Comedy Of Assumptions by Mad Maudlin. What the title says. A Douglas Adams-influenced comedy wherein Harry and Hermione are not trying to kill Ron, Hermione is not a hermaphrodite and Harry keeps trying to give himself concussion. Giggly.

Harry Potter Bend Me by Lodestar. A Harry/Draco parody from Draco's POV. A more than commonly clever A-Z of badfic and fanon which attempts to do some justice to Draco's canon character. Funny and sweet.

Harry Potter Photo Perfect by Predatrix. Woo. Another rare one, Snape/Lockhart which does nice things for Gilderoy, while allowing him all his flaws. Slush, with a bit of an edge.

Harry Potter Autodafé by blue. Harry and Draco are on opposite sides of a public scene that is far too easy to imagine in HP-land. Unusual and shlocking.

Harry Potter Butter and Pigtails by Silvia Kundera. A light hearted Draco/Harry story that made me smile a lot. There's toast, kicking, Crabbe being thick and lots of sublimation. Sweet and sniggery.

Harry Potter Unravel by Angela Griffen. A Percy/Ginny Weasley story (yes, you read that right) with no redeeming value beyond the fact it made me snort my milk and cookies. Cats. That's all I'm saying.

Harry Potter Static (archive down) by Sqeaky Clean. 'Broken and mute, Draco is an unlikely victim of the war against Voldemort. Which side was he truly on? Harry wants to know, but the answers aren't easy to obtain.' Shivery.

Harry Potter Potio by Seeker. A sweet and low story with a pairing as rare as rocking horse shit. Set post Chamber Of Secrets, Gilderoy Lockhart finds himself - and so does Snape. An unusual take on Lockhart's past in which he comes off faintly Lupinesque. Sympathetic and surprising.

Harry Potter The Shadows Trilogy by Resmiranda. Not your usual Snape/Hermione love story. Dark, beautifully written and full of insight. Fearless and meticulous when it comes to intricately detailing the Potterverse. My favourite HP story and perhaps my favourite Snape and Hermione. Magic.

Harry Potter The Fire And The Rose by MetroRhos. Snape & Hermione learn more than they ever wanted to know about how the other side lives when they swop bodies. An interesting look at both Hermione and Snape's lives from a stranger's point of view. Funny and sexy.

Harry Potter War Begets Quiet and prequel Noise by Telanu. Two character studies of Harry and Snape, one headmaster, one silent, both getting old. Melancholy and moving.

Harry Potter Too Wise To Woo Peaceably by JayKay. Harry and Snape in the Hogwarts production of Much Ado About Nothing. Cathartic mush, and not horrific - which, by all rights, it should have been. The play is surprisingly apt, even if the story occasionally reads like the minutes of Stage Producers Anonymous. But hey, Snape in 18th century costume. Mills & Boone eat yer heart out.

Harry Potter Sins of Omission (Series) [ 1)Consequences; 2)Sins of Omission; 3)No Greater Sin; 4)Relative ] by Nym. Snape and Harry accidentally acquire a magical connection. Not as cliched as it sounds. Dark and interesting, just like Snape.

Harry Potter Lust Over Pendle by A.J Hall. A Draco/Neville story that's kinda hard to describe. Very long, very involved, very very funny. Irritatingly heavy in OCs who whiff of Mary Sue, it flags a little towards the end but would have a long way to go to be bad.

Harry Potter Draco Malfoy & The Heart of Slytherin by Saber ShadowKitten. A Harry/Draco story which at least tries to insert Britishisms, huzzah! even if not always correctly. The relationship is slow burning, the story inventive and there's lots of wit and banter with a few laugh out loud moments.
