The Prophecy Blasphemy by Your Cruise Director. Thomas, the Priest, commits a spot of fornication with Lucifer (as played by Viggo Mortensen). An interestingly nuanced Satan and some blasphemous sex. Kinky.

The Prophecy In The High Places by Dargelos. A sexy, mocking Lucifer in this one, lots of Biblical references, and some Satanic koans about the nature of evil. Tasty.

L.A Confidential Listening In by Shalott. This story is actually based on Ellroy's book White Jazz, but it features White and Exley. Told from a very Ellroyish orginal character's point of view, I liked the way in which Ed and Bud work together. And get together.

Starsky & Hutch Movie Love American Style by LadyJaida. A juicily drawn out S/H story from Hutch's POV, with an inner monologue I could hear Owen Wilson drawling. Special, and extra-cool, cameo by Huggy Bear.

LA Confidential Partnership and sequel Games Men Play by Shalott. An alternative ending to the movie LA Confidential, in which Bud and Exley end up as partners. Slick and porny.

Reign Of Fire Another Day by Dira Sudis. That rare, rare beast: a Reign of Fire story. This one is Creedy/Quinn, focusing on the hazards and pleasures of life in the Keep. Full of incidental details and with warmth to spare.

Equilibrium Life On Fire by Cruisedirector. 'It's obvious that Partridge is in love with someone else, but Mary wishes she could help him anyway.' A gentle and heartrending version of the film, from Mary's point of view. A thoughtful perspective on John Preston, and on what makes Errol tick. This is exactly what I was hoping to find when I went looking for EQ stories. And, because I love you, I even found the copy of the story that isn't at ff.net.

The Faculty The Weight of Being by Pari106. A short but meaningful story about the weight that the students of Harrington High carry with them. Wonderful Casey POV. Thought-provoking and sweet.

The Faculty Interstice by Mirabella. I thought I'd read all the Faculty fic, luckily for me I was wrong. This is a Casey POV aftermath story in which he and Zeke share lingering paranoia and Casey disclaims his nerdiness. I got a great feeling of 'hollow' from this story. Thoughtful and chilling.

The Faculty Breakable by Shaenie. Aftermath, Casey POV as the happiness and acceptance he wanted fail to materialise. I really liked the insights into the intimacy of violence in this one, and the darkness of Casey.

The Faculty The Things You Need by Sparcck. Another aftermath story, this time from Stokely's POV as she watches Casey and Zeke and thinks she understands all too well. A story that gives good reveal.

The Faculty Echoes Inhabit The Garden by carleton97. This is Casey/Stan (with touches of Casey/Zeke). A post-movie story that gives some insight into what makes Stan tick and, uh, there is linament. Teen lust. So sweet.

Fast & The Furious Into The Sunset by Khaleesian. A story that follows Dom from the moment he leaves Brian at the end of the movie. A fab, realistic look at how Dom could have managed his escape. I really liked the stuff about mechanics, I have no idea if it's accurate or not, but it sounds bloody good. Also? Hot.

Fastlane/Fast & The Furious Repo Men by Khaleesian. Two very similar worlds collide and nobody's character gets assassinated. Humour and plot and the best car chase I can remember reading. Obviously well researched (by an LA native), my absolute favourite bit about this story is the careful, funny and thought provoking use of language. A lot of fun.

Mighty Ducks Kingdom of One by Caroline Crane. Bash Brothers slash, set after the second movie with flashbacks to the others. Fulton POV as he reminisces about the aftermath of the Goodwill Games and why Portman's not turning up for prep school. Gives the Bash Brothers some interesting depth.

Mighty Ducks Bash Brothers by Caroline Crane. Portman POV in this one, set at the end of the third film explaining why he came back to the team. Works as a companion piece to Kingdom of One (above).

Cutting Edge Invincible by Perri Smith. This has to have been the best ice skating movie ever made (apart from, uh, Mighty Ducks) and this story deals in a thoughtful way with the exhilarated aftermath of Kate and Doug's Olympic performance. Toepick!

L.A Confidential Eliminate The Negative by Mona Ramsey. A hard and fast Exley/White encounter set after the events of the movie. I need to watch the movie again.

The Forsaken Lucky by Caroline Crane. PWP really, but pretty, pretty visuals, it is Brendan Fehr and Kerr Smith after all. A great post-slayage story that even adds thoughtful stuff to the Forsaken mythology. If you haven't seen this movie, why not? Slashtastic, baby.

The Matrix Reloaded Untitled by Sheila. Wonderfully detailed story covering a little of the history of the Merovingian's twins. Why do programs evolve?

The Faculty Not A Wimp by Shaenie. Deliciously twisted and ambiguous Zeke/Casey. Nicely open to interpretation. Too short [sigh] but an interestingly kinky look at what makes Casey tick.

Murder By Numbers Memory by Proserpina. (Archive Down) Richard has always noticed Justin. A little history and a lot of character. Rimbaud, Hamlet, and memory. Good stuff.

Murder By Numbers A Dark Quiet Place by Pillow Lips. (Archive Down) 'A night at the bluff'. A Richard/Justin story from Richard's POV about the ties that bind them. Power wrapped in sex wrapped in power. A thoughtful look at the most interesting characters in the movie.

8 Mile Burned Internal by Jess. Future/Rabbit. FutureRabbit? Now here's a pairing that needs a name. Anyway. This is a beautifully observed post-movie fic that's going somewhere in circles, just like Jimmy.

Way Of The Gun Happiness Is A Warm Gun by Proserpina. A Parker/Longbaugh story from Parker's POV (that'd be Ryan Phillippe). Parker wants to have someone who knows him.

Chasing Amy The Next Guy by Proserpina. Banky/Holden, thankfully lacking any attempt at Askewniverse in-jokiness. Holden figures Banky's gay and is willing to help out. Banky's not going to take that lying down. Fun and insightful.

8 Mile All You See Is A Blur by Clio. 'Future's walking and most of the time he's headed somewhere'. This story follows Future after his fight with Rabbit. Intimate look at what Rabbit means to the 313 crew.

Star Wars: The Phantom Menace Crystallize by Torch. A meditative story about the Jedi way of life with an imaginative and illuminating setting.

Star Wars: The Phantom Menace Apprentice to Journeyman by Susan Smithson. An ambitious and intense story that traces Obi-Wan's training years and what it means to be a Jedi. This one swept me away. I wish I'd read it when I was a teenager. I think everyone should have a Qui-Gon.

Star Wars: The Phantom Menace Theory of Flight by Cori Lannam. A post-TPM denial fic in which Obi-Wan discovers the power of emotions. Includes an actual Knights' trial scene and no Deep Foreboding Music. An unusual take on Obi-Wan's character.

Star Wars: The Phantom Menace Extraordinarily Resilient by Cori Lannam. Another post-TPM denial fic, with the immortal line, "A problem we have". Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon must dissolve their training bond.

Star Wars: The Phantom Menace No, Master by Mona Ramsey. TPM parody. I haven't even read enough bad TPM for this to really resonate but all the usual clichés are there. Very, very funny.

Star Wars: The Phantom Menace Meet Another by Torch. A long and exquisitely detailed story set on Tatooine. Based, I think, on book canon, this is a TPM AU that never quite does what you expect it to.

Star Wars Two Reasons by Torch. 'Han Solo finds Coruscant uncomfortable'. Han, trapped between Leia and Luke. Melancholy and ambiguous. I still haven't figured it out.

Terminator Paradox by Kate Bolin. Yeeesh. Post Terminator 2, John deals with the after-effects and with the problem of paradox. Saying no more...

Sorority Boys A Phallus In Pigtails by Shrift. Adam is fucked up, but he's dealing and Patty helps. Deliciously long and funny.

Hard Core Logo Moonlight Mile by Kat Allison. A night drive: Billy's for sale and Joe's going to do whatever it takes to hold on. I still haven't seen this damn film.

Askewniverse (Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back) If We Were Gay by Cathryn. Dante and Randal have a video clerk conversation about romantic comedies, Jason Lee and Ben Affleck. In jokey and self-referential. Does Kevin Smith proud.

8MM Blood and Down by Mona Ramsey ('Down' is Missing). Tom/Max. What I found most interesting in both stories was the study of the effects (unclean and twisted) wrought by Tom's investigation. Down explores the horror of experience becoming mundane and Blood the horror of the loss of innocence. Both stories have interesting things to say about the power of memory. Warning: white text on black background, which does my head in.

Sorority Boys Repress, Deny by Livia. Adam's got some stuff to resolve, he just can't admit it to himself. Deals in an interesting way with the unexpectedly profound genderfuck that was the film. It feels sort of underplayed, but there are a couple of choice moments. My favourite story at the Walk of Shame archive.

Lost Boys The archive. Ah, the Lost Boys archive. Michael/Sammy goodness. I dislike it when people rec entire archives but honestly, there's not much here and all of it is good. Start with Audrey Lemon and just see if you can stop.

The Faculty Defense Mechanism by Angela Griffen. Movie aftermath. Stokely muses on why she is dumb and Zeke is smart. A Casey/Zeke what-might-have-been with a bite.

The Faculty After by Twi. A story about Casey and Zeke and an empty aftermath that ignores the film's happy ending. All is not as it seems. Dark.
