So, I was thinking it would be nice to write a birthday story for Schuyler, but then there's the thing where I, you know, don't actually write.

So I started emailing Sky's friends to see if they would write stories instead, and I'd stick to the whole "putting them up pretty on a page" thing, which I do do.

The mission was simple: write a vignette-style story in any fandom, in honor of Sky, the queen of the short. The only requirement was that every story have something to do with the sky, in a vaguely subtle attempt to Schuyler-Sue.

Well, everyone managed the sky thing, and we definitely have multiple fandoms represented. The story length, by contrast, varies hugely. Ultimately, we ended up with what I think is a helluva collection.

So Happy Birthday Schuyler!!! May you have a year rich in friends, fic, sparkly danceboys, smart geeky bands, and red-headed wizards.

If you would've liked to have written a story and didn't, um, that's because I suck at contacting the right people while trying to keep the whole thing secret. But I tried! And it's not like I'd turn away a random sky story that happened my way later... hee!
